It's because you quit. When you don't draw for a long period of time your skills don't improve. They either stay the same or regress.

you can let it colorize on its own or just put color in each section and let it color using those presets you set.

Quitting tends to halt progress, yes. To me it seems you have formed some kind of mental deal/bargain that if you invest time and read books and watch courses you automatically get good but there's more to that. You have to draw what you like and understand what you need to learn to get better at it. It's not given from the outside, it comes from you. You can blame everything else if you want but in the end it boils down to yourself.

I'm actually celebrating my first anniversary of drawing, and I'm getting commissioned and acknowledged by my own fav artists of the genre.

How many hours in total? If it's less than 4k then you didn't do SERIOUS PRACTICE.

Well fuck me you posted it. Anyway you were doing well man, and on a steady path of improvement. It feels like you had unrealistic expectations of progress and got frustrated and gave up, and reset your skill. Just start practicing again and stay at it.

Dude, honestly. Stop shitting on yourself. Your work is not that bad, and some of it is even quite good. Drawing 'X's all over everything and writing that you are a failure is not helping you. No wonder you stopped drawing.

Take it slowly, drink some water, listen to some music, and enjoy yourself while drawing. Learning is a privilege. Stop comparing yourself and enjoy the journey. Something else that might help is separating your study time from your drawing for fun time.

Another thing that might help is warming up! Take it easy on yourself dude, and keep drawing!
