Have you even seen most of the images it has generated? when you first view them in thumbnail they look okay, but when you actually click on them to see the details they look horrendous, like if you tell it to make a man dancing it will look like that at first, but when you actually view it, the man's legs will be contorting in impossible angles and his bones would look broken. The only good images from it are about 1% of them, and even then they still have many problems, perspective, anatomy, weird decisions that humans wouldn't make, etc.
If you think this is a danger to us you are delusional, and if you want to quit fine, then do so and pick up another hobby. But to kill yourself? That's overkill.
And even in 3-5 years when it gets really good, there will still be people who appreciate human artists, like how you can buy a factory made chair, but despite that some people pay extra to get a fancy hand made one, because it has human value.
