What's the best way to learn traditional inking?
I know practice is key to everything but I feel kind of lost on how to practice.

richard friend youtube channel has lot of help in earlier videos. learn basic techniques to push or pull your lines with nib, brush or finer liners. just practice the hatchings and cross hatchings and various techniques. find blue line art and print it out and apply those techniques to the lineart. you should have pages and pages of warmup lines and practice - even pros do this daily. its all

Do different subject matters from life and copy artists you like.
Set up a series of milestones like start doing spheres and cubes, move to oranges and apples then oranges and apples on a bowl and so on.

Also pen and ink is a thing and inking for comics is a different thing, when inking for comics you must know that the real finished art is what gets printed and when you ink it doesn't have to be india ink, I saw a video from an inker who used a gel pen for the finest lines and I've used 8b and 7b pencils to make grey toned areas, I've used liquidpaper over black and there was another thing I wanted to use on my next comic but I can't recall what it was, it's ate and my brain is on low power. The point is that all these things are not pure india ink but in the printing process they become a single unit with a unique look.

watts atelier has a demo video where jeff inks frazetta line art with a brush, that should help a bit with some of the more 'weird useful but have to know it to know it' techniques.

I also suggest the manga vagabond, look up its art as the mangaka decided to just use a brush exclusively for it, learning to ink with a brush helps wine you move over to nibs as you will already be use to light touches and you will have more control.
