not that anon but it's not about looks necessarily, sometimes a model will have a very appealing body shape and do nice dynamic poses, so you want to see if there are more photos of them. it sounds lame but some models are just more fun to draw than others

I do that a lot, and is not even about the girl, you find a random picture on the internet and start to dig more, who is this person? Has other photos? Name? Age? Nationality? Does she have a bf and what is her job? How she looks now? And stuff like that.
