>>6020355i almost universally draw from imagination, but I pay a lot of attention to anatomy and proportions when i consume stuff, I guess. I flounder around hard a lot early on if I dont have shapes I like fast. drawing from strong perspective makes my brain think about overlapping forms a lot more and that helps form the image in 3 dimensions in my head easier, and then it kind of snowballs.

>>6020368i like both, but only the latter when someone is annoying. posting here is kind of annoying for critique though because people are going to nitpick things you probably ignored or didnt care to fix because they were minor enough, instead of more major issues like proportion or perspective problems. i still post though because its interesting to hear other takes.
