>>6018174Speaking of easy followers, I sort of had an idea of how someone might be able to amass a lot of followers, though it requires luck. Assume you’re actually moderately skilled and not average. Make a bunch of fanart, of anime, games, and other popular things. Don’t post them as you draw them, just hold onto them and then when you amass a collection, just post them with like 4-6 hours between each post. If even one gets more attention than average, it’s possible it could get people to look at your other posts. This might work better with coom art though, cause plenty of people don’t care to visit your Twitter page for regular art, but if you have sexy artwork, people might be more inclined to look for more of that. And the few hours intervals ensures that if you do get attention, you can keep up the engagement, without seeming like you’re spamming. It still requires luck, but I imagine if you had 50 or so pieces of popular stuff, you’d get lucky on a few. You could even time them to releases, like posting WSJ art on Sundays when people would be reacting to stuff.
This is a bit of a tangent and might not even work as well as I think, but I’ve seen some complain about a lack of ability to gain followers, and I feel like there’s just no strategy a lot of the time.
