I've found that some background noises like
https://mynoise.net/ or instrumental music like the animal crossing soundtrack help me with focusing on stuff, but occasionally it can be distracting too.
Maybe there's a way to make what you're working on less boring somehow.
When I write essays, I usually add funny lines, complaints or other commentary so it feels less dull and more personal; I can always delete those additions later.
Drawing is already a lot of fun to me, so I usually don't get that distracted, but similar with essays, I might also add little doodles to a drawing or change up the pose or something to make it more challenging and keep it interesting.
I still may slip into ADHD hyperfocus and waste a lot of time working on details that might not even make it into the final piece... But at least it's still drawing.
Getting rid of distractions is also a good idea and can work to a degree, but it only really works if the task you're doing is somewhat interesting. I'd keep fidget toys on the table if you use any though.
Just because you may not have adhd, doesn't mean this stuff can't work for you too.
Might be worth a try at least...
