For a lot of screen tablets, when you drag your drawing off the tablet and put it on a different screen it looks really different and not the way you intended (colors washed out). But I noticed, when viewing someone else's art on your poorly calibrated tablet, it still looks as good as it does on any other screen.

I'm trying to figure out how exactly to resolve this issue, and how much of it is just my mind playing visual tricks on me after staring at my drawing for so long.

it's probably this, if I look at my stuff too long I start "fixing" things that aren't there and ruining it
then I look at my backup saves the next day and wonder what I was even thinking with the changes I made

I'm just passing through this board and have no experience with this but I'm guessing you're trying to draw in Adobe RGB mode or something and the screens don't match, and when you look at "other people's art" it looks normal because they're plain sRGB.

you calibrate your displays with a calibrator for about 200e like the spyder
most devices are not calibrated in factory except any apple or some expensive viewsonics and dells
i dont have the calibrator but i have one calibrated display and im fine
my tablet reds dont turn yellow so your issue must be something else
just take your tablet to a calibrator guy for like idk 20e

Callibration , mine seems to have a thing for making dark things look darker , especially when it comes to lighter marks.

Making what i think to be a legible drawing/sketch hard to read.
