What would make one improve faster on things like understanding and controlling light and color if their goal is to be able to work digitally in the end? Should they focus on digital painting at first, and only explore traditional painting if they want to later on? Or should they start with trad first before switching to digital because that would make their learning faster with colors for instance? Or should they do both trad and digital simultaneously right off the bat because that would be the ideal solution?
Any opinion on that?
Note: We suppose the person wanting to learn painting already knows how to draw both traditionally and digitally, and already studied fundamentals like perspective. It's all about the painting process in itself, and improvement at controlling and using value and color.
