Sometimes I think about making shirts or those metal plates or something. I'd get maybe 50 cents on each sale on most of those marketplaces but that's still feel less of a scam than my commissions.

i price my full bodies at $400 upfront and dont even acknowledge people who can't pay that much, and i still get 1-2 people a week when i advertise my comms

I was charging 50 bucks for one character with a proper backgrounds in perspective and I still had people whine. I don't have too many followers (3.5k) but I had close to 50 people ask for one of the 3 slots I had opened.
All of them told me I was charging too little and paid me at least double.

You're right. Anything with a true value of $50 and under is trash nobody should care about, you're gonna have to go a lot higher than that to get good art, or find someone that is unknowingly undervaluing their skills.
