So question which is the better road to follow for those whom wish to make Art their full time job
Going independent or Working for a company?

From my experience it seems like most folks who have made it, on the independent scene already worked in the industry before for sometime before striking out on their own, so doe's one need to work x number of years in the industry before going indie, and which path is more viable in the long run for an Art career?
