Appeal is everything and it's far easier to fix bad art than it is to fix bad taste. You can be a unicorn with your unique style all you like, but just remember there are 50 other artist that normies with flock to over you because beautiful art is what the people really want to see.

That's not what Fukumoto's art looks like, this is.
I like the manga art, but I have to admit the anime adaptation improved on it. The anime looks way less stiff in general.
