AI will render my hard earned art skills worthless. In one or two decades any untalented, undedicated normalfag will be able to produce professional grade artwork by typing in some keywords on some website. Deep down you also know this is true.

You would still be able to create more specific pieces where what you want in based on feeling or intuition rather than something that can be typed, you could even use the ai as a tool to get the rough outline then correct it until it's what you want.

I think you should worry less about how it can replace the work you do rather than thinking how you can implement it in your work.

You can already see an example >>6002081 of normies using art software to get their idea across because they can't draw. Remember that fake hand that draws a bunch of doodles on the screen a few years ago on youtube that showed up on ted talk videos and then all over the place? That's exactly the role of what AI will play; just another tool for non-artists to get their idea across however the doodles/creativity the software does will always never truly be the vision they want.

Especially if they want their product or service to stand out. Basically if you're taking commissions instead of your client giving you a paragraph of what they want, they can share their vision with the AI tool to give a rough idea what they want but in the artists style. It's basically helping both parties.

An AI cannot compose. Did you not watch the demonstration video of that recent AI tool that can take a few words you give it and make something out of it? What non-art fags see (you included) is the finished spit out. And yet they also show you that you can move things around in the picture--norms don't know a thing about appealing arrangement of anything. It's the sole reason why cut and paste software like comipo didn't kill mangaka's jobs.

Okay lets take for example what if there is some Japanese company that makes an advanced comipo software. It's still cut and paste but the user using the software still does not know a damn thing about how to arrange anything in an appealing way. It's like giving a kid a bunch of legos; they can build whatever they want but they might not be able to build something unique and interesting unless they're a lego nerd.

AI can already produce good compositions, just refresh enough times and something appealing will come up. The biggest limitation right now is that it can't be done for a specific area/element. Once you can do this and a user can refresh iterations of every element from big to small you wont need a particularily complex starting input to end up with something good.

So, basically, what your conclusion comes to is that the ideas guys will become artists and on par with you and wouldn't need you anymore. But what I'm seeing is a future where AI gets rid of the time consuming conception phase and allows mankind to bring content faster than they can consume it.

In a world like that it's just unrealistic to think that every fast food churned creation from your grandma to the nextdoor neighbor would be on par with the person who has spent years honing their craft. It simply is not only possible but most people are lazy anyway. Look at Mario Maker, Roblox, Minecraft, etc. You have the tools but just because you have the tools doesn't mean you'll be able to make an amazing experience.

Literally just make what you want to make. If there’s new technology that lets you make it faster then be thankful for that. If all you’re worried about is some vague idea of your “skills” being “devalued” then you’re no artist at all. The end goal for any artist is to see their unique vision realized, no more no less.

The only way I see around this would be if there was some legislation to make certain technologies illegal particularly ones designed to replace people’s jobs. I could sort of see this happening in burgerland or something as they already institute dumb laws like not being able to call people niggers or having to do some amount of community service each year in some areas.

That led to an explosion of new art styles and movements. In the same vein artists in our age might decide to create art that cannot be made by AI. It will probably lead to an interest in more ethereal concepts like soul for instance
