Plus, rendering out an image is a different beast, like you said. I'd assume its why you see so much cell shading since that is essentially the best way to cheat rendering if you don't know how to and don't care to learn. Most people don't want to learn how light affects different surfaces and concepts like subsurface scattering. Its weird how technology advances but the same /beg/ traps still work
