Now I'm not a fundietard myself. I just observe and try and replicate until I understand it enough to freeball it.
I guess I to study the fundamentals such as perspective, color, values, anatomy etc. But I never followed anyone religiously.
That said fundamentals are important. If this illustrator had worked on his fundamentals his work would'nt look like this.. Obviously.
