>>5998563Used a Wacom Intuos 5 medium for 2 years. Everything worked fine and I had perfected my set-up so it was pretty ergonomic. I wasn't planning on upgrading my tablet but I found a super cheap used Cintiq 22HD so I got it. First week was pretty rough. Was so used to not having my hand get in the way (even felt this trying traditional). After about a week, I started getting accustomed to it. After a month or two of daily use, it became second nature like how the screenless was. My lines became a little more accurate. Painting felt a bit easier, but not much. Ergonomics are much worse. Having your neck pointing down all day is pretty terrible. I am definitely going to buy a monitor arm for it. Since it is probably closer to you, the eye strain is worse too. It gets a bit warm which is a little annoying in summer, otherwise it's not a big deal. Parallax is not a big issue. Since you draw around the center of your vision anyway. One issue is that it is a lot less accurate around the edges of the display. Only makes it hard to click some UI buttons, since you don't really draw at the edges. This is mostly fixed on newer models. Mine requires a video cable and a power brick so depending on your setup, extra cables are a little annoying. Drivers crashed a couple times. (They never did in my 2 years of screenless).
At this point I think I would have been better off sticking with the screenless and upgrading my chair first. Then maybe an iPad to sketch in bed or outside.
Overall I would say it's not really worth it (unless you get a cheap used one) since the money can be better spent on a better screen, desk, chair etc. first. Would be worth it for someone who can't get over the hand-eye disconnect or if line-art is really important for you. If you or anyone else gets one, make sure it's a decent size and get a monitor arm for it.
