>>5999080>ok, what if my character is ACTUALLY walking like in pic 1? isn't it how he'd be walking? It just would look boring. People would naturally look at it going "eh, it works I guess" which in animation is the definition of "soulless"ness on 4chan. Animation is the expression of exaggeration, such principles like the right examples highlight ways to enhance the viewers attention by looking more "dynamic" and lively compared to looking reserved and stiff
By all means, not everything has to be toon force tier exaggerated, but a bit of flexibility goes a long way to making art stand out more.
>what if the pose is meant to convey the character isn't delicate, so he holds the key like a brute? Then the better way to visualize that is by making the arm muscular to signal to the audience the kind of person behind the key grapper, because then the focus isn't the key itself, but the tension in the arm from said brute
>don't zoom in to the point where things are unrecognizable bro"Yes, because it causes lack of context on worse case scenario like in OP's case where the left leg appears like it's too long despite that wouldn't be as off putting if you could just see how long overall her legs would be, which could be the case, but at first glance it looks like a mistake in proportions.
