Do you ever feel like you're missing out on something as a digital artist?
Like there's thousands of years of art history and we're not a part of it, because what we make is pixels and not paint?
The normies seem to have an intinctual feel for this. They appreciate many forms of art whether it's oil painting, sculpture, etching, etc. but they have no appreciation for digital art.
When I make a digital painting, I feel proud of the result, but I do not feel as if I have actually MADE anything.
I've dabbled in other crafts and whenever I make a wooden stool or a little garment, even if it's mediocre I still feel as if I've made something. But I don't get that feeling at all with art. Every picture I make no matter how refined just feels like practice, it doesn't feel real.
