Drawing has 2 dimensions to it:
- Drawing convincing things;
- Drawing understandable 2D abstractions (composition).
The first one is what we generally think about when talking about drawing: you know how to draw a realistic old man holding a disc, or you are able to make some really 3D-looking blocks that form a building.
But, without the second skill, you are nothing but a shitty printer.
And this comic exhibits skill number 2, albeit in rudimentary levels because the less detail, the easier it is to make a picture easy to understand.
Color coding while having an explanatory text already covers 50% of the task, then the very simple stickmen are focused on the main action: playing the game (holding an egg with buttons), not playing the game (girl and cool-posing normalfag), happy or angry faces, a table just to give everyone a center of gravity.
Then the squared shoulders for the angry guys.
Some minimal artistic sensibility was needed to do this, but even if you don't know what to do, you should be able to try it out on paper without wasting too much time; draw 10 different poses in 10 seconds, choose one that expresses the feeling best to you. Whoever did this comic probably already did other stickman comics before and was "prepared" to draw the angry guys with square shoulders.
