KJG doesn’t sketch without inking, he inks without sketching, this is the highest tier I listed
drawing a box or a rough scaffolding and inking directly on top is the middle tier (this is also where all a prima falls, which is why I mentioned it)
inking over a finished drawing is the lowest tier because unless it’s a matter of pipeline in sequential production stages between multiple people, you’re wasting time while gaining nothing from it and you will naturally transition to the higher stages as you accumulate experience, whereas deciding to instead start erasing marks you’ve already put down is again wasting time and means that you can’t draw efficiently without unnecessary marks due to either a lack of experience or confidence
