Japanese Anime Art style is so loved by the East that they produced a fuckton of books about it. Not just books, videos, classes, etc.
Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, they all have those on their own language, produced by local artists who are GOOD at their craft.
Now, for some reason, the only guys who produce "How to draw Anime Art Style" in the west or in English language SUCKS at drawing Japanese Anime Art Style.
They always have the hint of Calarts bullshit or whatever style it is.
So I think that's why the Japanese Anime Art Style is not as wide spread in the west as compared to East Asia as a whole.
I'm not saying western artists can't do it. Western artists definitely can. I was surprised one of the guys I'm following is from Iceland and this guy
