Looks fun, but the line is too chicken-scratchy.
If you look at your example
>>5983447, one could say your pictures are "better drawn" on a realistic level, but the book you posted has a definite, consistent style, whereas yours doesn't really decide when it's gonna look detailed and when it's gonna look sketchy/loose.
Overall pretty decent, apply some textures (maybe to your brush instead of the finished piece next time) and it should look comfy enough for a children's book.
Solid color BGs work on the cat, but on the others they commpete too much with the drawing, subdue them more.
