Art is supposed to be an ideal. Sure this woman has a goofy looking hand but is that the type of hand I'll draw? No, it'll look wrong no matter how much I'll do. Art, even realistic art isn't about directly copying reality.
Her hand looks goofy and takes away attention from the main subject matter, its a bad photo and it would make a bad drawing.
