>>5978093>If you don't know how to write a story is making OCs pointless?Do whatever makes you happy. Don't let other people tell you that you're not allowed to enjoy things.
>How do you give your characters personality?I've never had to think about this too hard, but I'll try to explain my process. You can start out by assigning basic personality traits to your characters purely based off of how they are designed, how you would like them to behave, or just based on whatever you're into (especially if they're coom OCs).
Using your pic as an example, I think the blue girl's face reminds me of Tifa from FF7, so she could be the comforting, caring girl-next-door. The green girl looks like she's mildly surprised, like she saying "oh my!" in a cute soft voice. She could be innocent and curious. Purple has those slanted eyes and that mischievous grin, like she's got a plan to cause some trouble. She looks like a girl who knows exactly what she wants and can come up with a scheme to get it. Red is a very lively color, and with her mouth open and her fangs showing, I imagine her as being a loudmouth who blurts out whatever thought enters her mind.
From there, try imagining your characters in various situations and think about how they would behave based on their personalities. Try to be logically consistent, don't force them to act out of character if you can help it. If you find yourself frequently forcing their behavior, consider permanently changing their personality to something more suitable, and then try to stick to it.
I think this would be enough to create a decent personality for your characters, but if you want to go further you could try making full-blown stories with them. The events that occur in these stories could further develop your characters and have an impact on the way they behave. This is most likely where all the random quirks and facts about characters that

I'm at the character limit, so I hope that helps.
