I want to draw and I've grown to like the final results I produce even if I am striving to become much better, but my own drawing process itself (just the process alone, not the art) kind of disgusts me. I basically spend 30 minutes on just bland wonky mannequins like this while almost all of my other artist friends just do it in very few minutes. What should I do to just fix this shit alone?
I am unironically thinking of ditching construction entirely and copy the process of pro mangakas/illustrators I like.
I do gesture drawings sometimes but I can't stop unintentionally applying construction to them. I've read hampton's book first 25 pages and watched some videos on the subject matter, but even if I understand the overall concept, putting it in practive is difficult.
