Successful by what parameters? There is this guy who draws a girl similar to the one of the pic, a bunny girl robot or something like that. Is mildly successful. The art was good, better then 70% of the industry in my opinion, even more made by just one guy, and people read his stuff and he did more then one chapter, that's more then 90% of all people can ever hope to accomplish.
If he was Japanese I'm sure he would already been published by now, but he ins't. If you idea of a successful manga is being published even if you are not japanese, you are deluded and don't understand anything about what you talking about. But like I said, depends on what you consider successful.
