>>5960914Oh nice.
You've got some very cool stuff, I really like picrel.
I think your gestures and proportions look pretty good, but especially when it comes to pencil drawing, it's clear that your linework could do with some serious work.
The lines are rather messy, and it seems to be all sketches; when you do lineart, you have to put thought into where the lines should be thicker or thinner, whether you want a more consistent line thiccness, what look you want to go for... Lots of room for experimentation.
And when it comes to your more painterly stuff... It reminded me about what people said about monets paintings, looks good from afar, but when you get closer, you see the roughness of it all.
Except your stuff doesn't always look so great, even from afar, but at least a bit better than when you actually zoom in, which is also more pronounced in a digital medium where people are uses to higher resolutions.
You seem to focus a lot on colours and rough shapes, but perhaps you could zoom in and work on the details and try to make your lines not look like weird ms paint tubes but actual brush lines that take your tablets pressure sensitivity into account.
Maybe it'll help to mix up your tools for a bit, try some more responsive brushes in krita or something or try out some more traditional painting.
If you just want to go for hyper realistic photocopying, you could check out people who do that, like
https://youtu.be/wdDZxif3qP8 who has Pixel in the name. And you would have to pay attention to the small pixels, really go into detail to smooth all that roughness out.
Is recreating photos really what you want though?
Not judging, realism is certainly popular, what matters is that you keep your path aligned with your goals.
