case in point; if the casino is covered in sand, we can surmise the dunes are recent, so why the fuck are there rusted out cars on top of the sand? it makes it obvious they've been placed there by hand. why the fuck is there a camel in nevada? why aren't any of the signs faded and weathered like the casino building? why is there an old-world style "fried iguana" sign when iguana bits is a post-war thing?
all of these small things just lead to the whole thing feeling fake and forced.
