What's the point of drawing/painting (i.e. creating art) if the end product looks absolutely identical to the reference you use?

some people find it fun. other people do it because it gets easy likes/is impressive to people who don't do art. i personally find it enjoyable and kinda meditative but i don't do it anymore because i don't see much artistic value

It can be interresing to some extent. It is useful to master any technique. But yeah, I don't see the appeal most of the time.
