How to systematically, decide the right, natural position and orientation of a walking, acting animation of a bipedal/quadrupedal cycle? when the only resource around are some muybridge, or disney leftovers, how do you produce a new, natural looking animation, not necessarily ground breaking, of a working locomotion and acting complete with drag/inertia/follow thru, and symetrical positioning and orientation of the said character/mechanism?
it seems natural to have a set convention for a wild, multiple set of biodiversity other than using roto, tracing on camera... 3d mocap? Interested in the books that can help you define the right motor pattern in 3d space...otherwise i suppose it was all traced on some tiny lomo camera?
