Cause the industry has be using it since digital art started. Tried and true plus they are also dependent on the in-house plugins they have built for it. They won't change unless there is a very good reason. Freelancers can use any software as long as it exports the right kind of file.

Because in the professional world, artists and illustrators usually have to do things beyond just simply drawing. Photoshop still stomps other programs when it comes to design, editing, etc.

Mainly the file type at this point. You're not going to share your digital files as a clip studio file; you'd convert it to photoshop.
