Are there any good art communities these days?
i allways hear about pros saying they started out on conceptart.org, and the norm was to give and revieve constructive criticism without any padding. The users posted their work and progress more or less daily, to keep up with the norm.
I've tried a numerous reddit channels, as well as smaller forums, but it allway just some circlejerking stuff where people are afraid to give even constructive criticism. I learned to grow a thicker skin by posting in the drawthreads here some years ago, but now it feels pretty dead compared to back then. maybe i just caught it at particularly a bad time.

I have given up on checking out discord servers.
