Circa 2006-2015 yeah its what everyone wanted. Now there's a lot more viable paths in entertainment. I'm pretty sure you can even make half a living as a webtoon artist if you're willing to wage 20 hours a week at a warehouse too.

There's also a pretty big number of patreon only guys too now. Really the world is your oyster if you focus on something you can get good at. Even better if you manage your finances in a way to generate passive income. 35% of my income comes from dividends from stocks with the majority being from a Canadian pizza company.

I want to get really as good as my inspirations one day and it's my main objective because I love drawing, even if I can't make a career out of it. however, I don't think I could ask for more than to get paid to draw cute anime girls from the comfort of my room, without the need of taking overcrowded public transport or getting stuck in transit or shit like that

Most webtoon artists are full-time, even the American ones, there's also the fact that most webtoonists live in the 3rd world, and make bank from the mighty dollar.

Now that I have that, I realize I didn't win the heart of the critic that matters the most- myself.

My new definition of Making It is now being able to draw at a moment's notice and make something I'm proud of.
