Not it's not impossible. Yes, you may face ageism but what matters most is your portfolio (and any connections). Yes, it's going to be hard but that's true if you were younger as well. Just keep working at it.

companies heavily scout from art fields so you are less likely than younger person to get a job because more younger people attend art schools
The difference between art and other fields is that you can literally createa portfolio of your work which gives you a better chance of getting your foot in the door as employers are able to directly see what you are capable of without having to employ you/train you/interview you etc.
The hard part as a older person is actually achieving the very high level as neuroplasticity is real and not just a meme
