>>5944113Like for me it’s just about having projects and experiments and stuff to do and learn that exists outside of my self. I don’t care if it looks bad or weird or crazy, because having done ANYTHING is 100% better than having done nothing.
Not drawing or producing= not thinking about drawing and drawing and producing
Not thinking about it= not being intrinsically motivated to do it
You kind of just have to start the wheel rolling. It’s like with working out or learning an instrument. You just have to start doing it and accept that you’ll probably look like a retard for awhile but if you do it long enough you’ll look back most fondly at the shit you felt the most embarrassed about at the time.
Pic related other thing I’ve put some time into today. Repainting of my least favorite painting I’ve ever made. Was like my 5th painting where I had done ok with running Kruger confidence up to that point and just got my ass kicked and learned a lot about things that I needed to learn about. Which made me keep making paintings to get better at the things that I fucked up on with the original.
Like you just gotta do shit and get incepted with ideas and questions and chase them, while at the same time just doing stuff regardless of if it has a purpose when you start.
