DB had an really strong aesthetic, full of cool shit to look at, that's why I think people thing is better, DBZ is more homogeneous, is just desert and villains with weird shaped heads.
Toryama art works far better to RPGs in my opinion, chrono trigger is his peak because he can show his full range of drawing cool looking machines, monsters, dinosaurs and crazy designs while having a distinctive looking style were everything seems to belong in the same world, he always has been far superior an illustrator then a comic artist in my opinion, save a few volumes were he was allowed to exceed.
