If you make a requirement for people to pay into a group buy you can get rid of the undesirables and make a good small discord to collaborate and learn from whatever course you did a group buy for.
Even if someone doesn't post work or give critiques etc they are still useful to have on your friends list for future groupbuys.
I literally just message everyone I've ever done a group buy with every time I want a course and some of them will be interested.
Good way to make a network of people who are interested in learning art, have money and are trustworthy.
A lot of good people from /ic/ have left because of these kind of communities. There's plenty of stuff that's not on cgp being traded.
