On average, I usually prefer more "cartoony" and stylized anime/manga art styles over the vast majority of "realistic" art manga that mostly end up being traced 3d assets for a weekly deadline (Gantz dude/Sakamoto), Takehiko Inoue and Asano are exceptions tho.

Think Akira Toriyama or Rumiko Takahashi as a default example. Are there any modern artists that draw in a similar vain while still being fresh and modern? The first one that springs to mind is the Nanatsu No Taizai mangaka (also it is just me or most of the armor in that manga looks like something out of Dark Souls?).
