>>5929390While you're right and yes, raccontos and flashbacks are a form of showcasing a character's flashback, what you initially presented was "making a character's flashback happen during the story" which is impossible because it contradicts the concept of a backstory, which are predefined elements whithin a story that exists before the story's narrative is innitiated.
You can show a character's backstory at any given point in time and it'd be completely valid
>e.g. girl goes on a journey to become the bestest baker because of her mom but loses her ways until she eats an apple pie that makes her remember the days before her mom passes away and made her go on a journey in the first place.This is how a backstory is properly executed, because there are events from the past that are initially unknown for the reader that are presented later on in the story as the form of a flashback
However you cannot make any event of a story happen during the present progression of a story and call it a flashback
> e.g. girl spends her time learning bakery with mom but then mom passed away and girl decided to go on a journey to be the bestest bakery to honor the memory of her mother.This is NOT a backstory, because it happens all in present time within the story's narrative.
>inb4I know I am sperging over semantics here, but bear with me, I love talking about story writting and shit ;-;
