because I'm a fucking idiot and still can't quite grasp it:

I have an artwork that I want to print on some fabric, a shirt for example:
the image that I want to print has the dimensions 2000x2000px at 300dpi
now the dropshipping company gave me a template in 4000x4000px at 150dpi

Since the dpi is double in my base image can I just scale it 2x and still expect that it's gonna turn out okay?
