Hey guys can you anyone give me the definition of what line art is? Does that mean you just trace over an existing picture and then call it line art or is it all an original drawing?

I guess what I mean to say is someone in school posted a pic of "line art" they made of some attack on titan pic but I googled and it's just an existing pic he got from an anime site. I feel like calling him out on it. But I dont know what line art is.

i'd say it's drawing which focuses on describing forms through outline rather than tonal values, drawing focused on values is known as mass drawing, pic related, the opposite end of the scale from line drawing
