Your values on the first pic needs work, not enough contrast. It is stylized, is that on purpose? It's appealing enough so it's fine if it is. That makes people less likely to crit it tho cause people always say "but that's my style". Would need to see more pieces, preferably landscapes, color etc. if you want more critque. If you don't do those I would suggest you do some.
