Inkers out there, what's your workflow? I'm curious to know since I like pen and ink a ton, and wanted to see what methods you guys were using. Here's mine:
- Create pen and ink drawings on printer paper for easy scanning later, and sign and date them
- Scan all of them in at the end of a month
- Pick a few that I like from the last month, and take the printer paper sketch and put it in the printer's scanner bed, and print the same ink drawing on half toned grey drawing paper that I cut in 8.5 / 11 to fit in the printer
- Use colored pencils and alcohol markers to make some color studies
My plan later is to take the best of these, and then make acrylic paintings from them.
However, I do want to somehow figure out a good workflow for watercolor painting, but realize I might need a top loader printer like a Canon Pixev so I can use heavier weight paper to prevent paper jams.
Curious what everyone else does in this situation, even if its digital :)
