not a book, but watch and follow along with bradwynn jones. go to older videos and do the loomis head plates along with him where he shows how to measure and map it out instead of 'draw a circle, now draw a face'. most of his videos go from loomis and reilly rhythms construction into fully rendered pieces or broken into multiple videos for each part. if you want to learn to draw portraits, he's best free option.

You can ignore some of the text but I believe the Hogarth's exaggerated style can help you learn where expressive looking shadows ought to go.

I don't know what is the name of the book; just google the title or something. IIRC, it's only available from a Russian site.

Russian books listed by other anons are available on libgen & friends. I won't do your homework any further; learning to draw and paint is far, far more harder than looking for a Russian pdf on the Internet.
