I've been trying to find retired sci-fi illustrators that did crazy cool oil and acrylic paintings but their workflow and techniques are barely documented.

Anyone have any ideas on how I could find some retired ones to ask questions from?

I ask because I used to live in the northeast where you'd have art shows for different artists at their literal houses, but can't seem to find anything remotely like that in the south.
