It's about a mangaka who's only thing to live for is to become a mangaka.
She's very terrible and people don't like her stuff, she constantly gets negative feedback, from her readers, cries and is close to committing suicide but she gets back up and tries again, getting better each and every time while failing and getting close to giving up every now and again.
Drawing is the only thing she has in life as she's a worthless failure in everything but she never gives up and learns over the course of the show.

It's also a pretty big pleb filter too as people will just see an annoying failure and drop it calling her annoying, rather than see her grow over the course of the show as she learns other artists struggled like her, learns perspective, anatomy, practices figure drawing and inking and improves as a person too, even if by a little.
