I get profitable commissions all the time but Im just a triple digit follower artist. Most people ask me to draw their OCs which is not very good for numbers. I would like to grow my audience more but since I seldom consume media I don't feel like drawing fanart for trendy established franchises I know nothing about which is the optimal strategy for growth

i have to choose between trying to be an architect and trying to be an artist. doing both at a satisfactory level is pretty much impossible. i also hate that I didn't see art as a job back then, if i did i could've invested more in it. i am very frustrated

For some reason, I have this uneasy feeling when I don't draw. I think I developed this last month.

I was able to do a steady pace of drawing 2-4 hours a day. 2 hours of gesture session. I feel good about drawing this steady. (Great start for a new year if you ask me.)
I don't know when it started, but lately when I try to delay my drawing sessions I feel uneasy. Something like increased blood pressure? I don't know. Maybe it's just unhealthy lifestyle.

I don't have time, not even to draw for myself, I'm running 5-6 commisions a week
It's been like this for two years now
I have 400~ followers on twitter, and post only 1-2 posts a month
My twitter is 3 years old
I don't give a fuck about media numbers anymore
I wanted media numbers to get more people to commission me
If I have my week already full what's the point of media clout
