Can someone help me draw a cowboy hat on this cowgirl?

I’ve been erasing for 45 minutes and my paper is turning into a pulpy mess, i only have like 2 more tries.

It’s like an underside profile view from slightly behind. Since the side brims go up, i can’t figure out what happens to the front brim, or the back brim… and when i draw the side brims, they make nasty tangents with the top hat bulge.

I never make threads, i am very desperate… and my brain hurts
