If I plan to draw half an hour or an hour everyday, I end up never doing it at all.

But if I say, fuck it, let's just doodle and fool around for 5 or 10 minutes, I end up drawing for 2 hours.

That's what happened. Then again, do what works for you. The above works for me. GLHF

It's probably because you binge on internet surfing , playing games or watching series. You have trained your mind to treasure novelty like most society, doing so results in a lower attention span.

Do not surf the web as a subtitute for boredom, learn to live with boredom,do not turn to bright lights/novelty when your bored, get your one track mind back. Limit all leisure activities that distracts (books,audiobooks or music is okay) for a month your mind will go from scatter brain to focus.

Look up deep work by Cal Newport his other book Digital Minimalism has great techniques to focus as well.

These things you do for leisure are made by companies- groups of people while you're one person. Even if you were the best fighter in the world going against a company you will die. Leave that stuff alone stop wasting your life living in a screen, start living in the canvas.
