I doubt I'd ever be able to make that much money off art, and if I did I'd likely go the patreon route. Commissionwork is just not stable enough unless I'd be earning 500+ per piece, which will never happen. I'd like to be able to keep paying my rent if nobody happens to want anything from me this month. Plus there's the fact that I'm going to be old and alone someday with no pension because art doesn't come with benefits.
